Set up a restaurant or café

Create a menu, table QR codes, an order workflow, payments, and receipt printing.

What you will set up

This guide prepares a restaurant, café, or food stall for table-based QR ordering and daily order processing.

1. Complete the venue profile

  1. Open Settings → Business profile.
  2. Confirm the public business name, contact details, address, and country.
  3. Review business settings and make sure the correct staff have catalog, QR, order, payment, and printer permissions.

2. Create the menu

  1. Create categories such as Food, Drinks, Desserts, and Combos.
  2. Add each menu item under Products.
  3. Use item-based pricing, choose the selling unit, and set one default price.
  4. Add product images and useful descriptions where available.
  5. Check unavailable or seasonal items before opening orders.

3. Create a QR for every service point

  1. Open Service QR → Create.
  2. Create one location for each table, room, counter, or pickup point.
  3. Use labels and codes that staff can identify quickly, such as Table 01 and T01.
  4. Choose the order flow that matches the venue. A full-service venue can use preparation and ready stages; a simpler counter can use fewer stages.
  5. Save each location, generate its QR PDF, and check public access.

4. Run a table-order test

  1. Place the test QR at the intended table.
  2. Scan it with Thora One, choose menu items, and submit the order.
  3. Confirm that Thora Go shows the correct table and items.
  4. Accept the order and move it through the configured preparation flow.
  5. Repeat with a second table to verify that orders remain easy to distinguish.

5. Configure payment and receipts

  1. Enable the venue's payment methods.
  2. Configure the VietQR receiving account when used.
  3. Connect the kitchen or receipt printer supported by the venue.
  4. Verify payment, complete the order, and print a test receipt.

Opening checklist

  • Menu categories and prices are correct.
  • Every printed QR identifies the right table or counter.
  • Staff can distinguish new, processing, ready, and completed orders.
  • The receiving bank account and payment confirmation are correct.
  • LAN or Bluetooth printing works from the devices used during service.
