Set up a service business

Configure laundry, rental, repair, and other merchant-operated services through QR POS.

What you will set up

This guide is for services sold and operated directly by your business, including laundry, equipment rental, local repair, tailoring, or similar shops.

  1. Open Settings → Business profile.
  2. Confirm the trading name, contact details, address, country, and operating information.
  3. Check which staff can manage the catalog, orders, payments, and receipts.

2. Design the service catalog

  1. Create categories such as Laundry, Dry cleaning, Rental, Repair, or Other services.
  2. Create each service as a product in Thora Go.
  3. Choose a unit customers understand, such as item, kilogram, set, day, or service.
  4. Use item-based pricing for a fixed unit or package.
  5. For actual elapsed-time charging, follow the Set up a time-based business guide.
  6. Set a default price and explain important inclusions in the description.

3. Create the service QR

  1. Open Service QR → Create.
  2. Create a location for the counter, intake point, pickup point, or rental area.
  3. Choose a label and code staff can recognize.
  4. Select the service catalog and an order flow matching the shop's process.
  5. Save, generate the QR PDF, and verify public QR access.

4. Test customer intake

  1. Scan the QR with Thora One.
  2. Choose a service and submit a test order.
  3. In Thora Go, verify the customer selection, quantity, unit, price, and location.
  4. Accept the order and move it through the available processing stages.
  5. Use internal notes or established shop procedures for physical item identification when needed.

5. Finish the service and payment

  1. Check that the work or rental return has been completed.
  2. Review the final items and total.
  3. Verify payment before confirming it in Thora Go.
  4. Complete the order and print or save the receipt.
