Set up a retail store

Configure a retail catalog, store QR, payments, and receipt printing from start to finish.

What you will set up

This guide prepares a small retail store to accept customer orders through a store QR, process them in Thora Go, record payment, and print a receipt.

1. Complete the business profile

  1. Open Settings → Business profile.
  2. Confirm the store name, contact information, address, country, and operating details.
  3. Save the profile and reopen it to confirm the information.

2. Build the retail catalog

  1. Create categories such as Drinks, Snacks, Household, or Other products.
  2. Open Products → Create product for each item.
  3. Use Item-based pricing, set the selling unit and price, and keep one default price.
  4. Add a clear product image when available.
  5. Review every item as staff and customers will see it.

3. Prepare payments and printing

  1. Enable the payment methods used by the store.
  2. If you use VietQR, configure the receiving bank account and verify its details.
  3. Connect a supported LAN or Bluetooth receipt printer, or enable saving orders as PDF.
  4. Print one test receipt before opening the QR to customers.

4. Create the store QR

  1. Open Service QR → Create.
  2. Use a recognizable label such as Retail counter and a unique code.
  3. Choose item-based pricing and the order flow used by your team.
  4. Save the location, select Get QR, and save the printable PDF.
  5. Confirm that the location is active and public QR access has been approved.

5. Test the customer journey

  1. Scan the printed QR with Thora One.
  2. Select several products and submit a test order.
  3. In Thora Go, verify the location, items, quantities, and total.
  4. Accept and process the order using the available actions.
  5. Correct the catalog or QR settings if anything is unclear.

6. Complete the sale

  1. Confirm how the customer paid.
  2. Verify that money was actually received before confirming a transfer.
  3. Record payment, complete the order, and check both statuses.
  4. Print the receipt or save the order PDF.

Launch checklist

  • Product names, prices, and default prices are correct.
  • The store QR opens the expected catalog.
  • A test order reaches the correct business and location.
  • Payment confirmation and receipt printing work.
  • Staff know that order completion and payment status are separate.
